"Protective Custody" is the riveting account of a young family trapped in the Philippines at the beginning of World War II and imprisoned there for three years at Santo Tomas University. The author, an executive from an American pharmaceutical company, kept a secret journal, from which he wrote this manuscript immediately after the war. The foreword is by the author's son, who grew from infancy through toddlerhood in the internment camp, and now releases his father's book.
