This nonfiction story was writen by a grandmother and grand daughter team out of Delaney's desire to learn, explore, ask questions, and to talk openly about her surroundings, daily activities, and experiences. This is a natural process in the growth and development of many children. Therefore, much of the information presented was provided by her. The co-author is very outgoing, friendly, and delightful and has a pleasing personality. Communicating with her, as a grandmother, caused me to step back in time and remember my own childhood experiences. Reading is the key to learning and understanding. This book was designed for enjoyment and to encourage the use of vocabulary words among school-aged children. This story is also designed to awaken students to explore their lives and to learn about themselves and their ambitions at an early age.
