6The month of July is dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Before the reorganization of the liturgical calendar in 1969, a feast day in honor of the Most Precious Blood was observed on the first Sunday of July. Currently, this feast day is combined with the Feast of Corpus Christi, on the eighth Sunday after Easter, but the monthly devotion remains. Included in this booklet, is the approved Litany of the Precious Blood along with other prayers, and an apostolic letter explaining the devotion. You'll also find prayers, novenas, homilies, and hymns in honor of July saints: St. Kateri Tekakwitha, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Bridget of Sweden, and Ss. Joachim and Anne, grandparents of Jesus. For the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, you'll find the Litany of Loreto, and the prayers for enrollment in the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This enrollment can be performed by any priest, but a Carmelite would be especially happy to do it for you!
