"Firu's Forest" is a collection of three stories, each separate yet beautifully intertwined--like the rainforest that surrounds them. It's the story of a boy who shares a special bond with his grandmother, who teaches him the importance of sharing his abundance with others. It's the story of a feral cat, frightened to be open to love because of his painful past. And the story of a tender-hearted hummingbird whose constant fear of rejection gets her stuck in a bind from which only a true friend can rescue her. Inspired by places and events in Costa Rica, "Firu's Forest" illustrates some important life lessons for both children and their adults.
