A culinary tale of love and witch trials.

In the town of Hagen, the legendary bakery Heckler Delights has stood unchallenged for generations. So, when a beekeeper named Anika Everhart defeats the washed-up heir Hans Heckler at the Easter Feast baking competition, Hans vows to restore his name by gaining possession of Anika's extraordinary Honigkuchen recipe.

While hunting for the recipe, Hans uncovers a secret love affair between Anika and her married assistant, Jonathan Von Brandt. The discovery inspires in Hans a cruel idea which, if successful, will allow him to destroy his rival and to steal the greatest recipe the people of Hagen have ever known.
