I'm totally not going to lie to you, the smell of my Dad sautéing onions for chicken curry bummed me out when I was a kid. I was more than happy eating frozen chicken nuggets and kraft mac and cheese. Learning how to cook real food was definitely not at the top of my list of things to be doing. As a poor college student, I finally had to start cooking meals with what I had to save money. Using inexpensive and basic ingredients, I could cook just about anything. It was then that I discovered how empowering and easy it could be to master a meal from scratch. In this book, I hope that you discover a multicultural mix of flavors prepared in an uncomplicated manner.
