Denim Rider and Other Stories is a collection of autobiographical comics and single panel diary cartoons produced by Kansas City artist Jason Lips from 2015 through early 2021.

Lips uses the comics medium to document the joys and struggles of family life, teaching, and creative pursuits, as well as to process traumas such as the tragic death of his father, and the stresses of the Trump years and COVID-19 pandemic.

Denim Rider and Other Stories toggles freely between joyfully lighthearted, crushingly painful, and strangely surreal approaches, weaving together a graphic meditation on family, loss, and the nature of creativity.
