That is until her father suffers a traumatic brain injury that leaves him with impaired mobility and unable to care for himself. Maury abandons her glamorous New York life and moves to the family vacation home in the sleepy town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware to care for him. With no local support system, Maury feels isolated and alone, until she meets a friendly drag queen who adopts her into their social circle, and Javi, a junior partner at her father's law firm. As her friendships with the both grow, Maury struggles with her attraction to Javi, her guilt about her father, and her feelings of being unworthy of love.
