close-knit family, Linda Jones was born and raised in the 1940s and 50s on Maryland's lower Eastern Shore. From an early age, she was given freedom to explore the countryside and developed a keen curiosity about the world and her place in it. Just as her father moved the family from farm to farm with his work, she continued the pattern even after she married her high school sweetheart. Living in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and back to Maryland, they raised three beautiful children, which kept her close to home. However, a reckoning and dissolution of her 17-year marriage propelled her on an inner journey that provided insight into her own spiritual wisdom, expanding the boundaries of the Christian faith in which she was raised. She embraced a new life of adventure far beyond her familiar history and continued her lifelong pattern of moving, but this time toward answers. Charting new areas of self-exploration and strengthened by the support of her friends and spiritual community, Linda discovered her life purpose, both in the outer world and in the inner realms. When faced with difficult decisions, Linda's faith in inner guidance emboldened her to consider new possibilities and take risks apart from safer paths. She trusted the deeper movements of living with purpose, rooted in spiritual principles, to work in her favor, offering "this ... or something better."
