She is a past member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Human and Civil Rights Committee, Past President of the NOBLE Central Valley California Chapter, and a member of the American Association of University of Women. She is a graduate of California POST Command College with course work in Enhanced Leadership; Futures Forecasting and Economic Issues; Politics of Change; and Technological and Environmental Issues. She holds a Master's of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego.
