3The entire month of May is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and in May it is always the Easter season, for at least most of the month. In this booklet, you will find prayers dedicated to Our Lady, including the oldest known prayer to Mary (copies of which date from the 3rd century), a May Crowning Script, the Litany of Loreto, the Angelus, the Regina Caeli, the Magnificat, and-her favorite-the Rosary.I've included a script with Bible readings and hymns for a May Crowning at home (or at school or at the park).Prayers and devotions for May saints' days include the Litany of St. Joseph for St. Joseph the Worker, prayers given to the children by Our Lady of Fatima, the Cristero Prayer and the Our Father in Spanish in honor of the Mexican martyrs, prayers and novenas for St. Rita and St. Joan of Arc, and prayers and a Bible reading for the feast of the Visitation. We've got some of those tricky moveable feasts in here as well. The important Pentecost Novena is the granddaddy of all novenas and the only novena officially commanded for worldwide use by multiple popes, including JPII. It begins the Friday after Ascension Thursday (even if the observation of the Ascension is transferred to the next Sunday) and continues through the vigil of Pentecost the next week. You'll find prayers and Bible readings for the feast of the Ascension, Pentecost, and Trinity Sunday. Corpus Christi and the feast of the Sacred Heart will be in the Catholic All June booklet. To help you keep track of it all, you'll find a list of the dates of moveable feasts from 2019 through 2029.
