There's a tiger on my tongue, and he is trying to get out When we are around others, he will always yell and shout There's a Tiger on My Tongue tells the story of a young child who has problems with talking too much and interrupting others. The child has a tiger on their tongue who roars when it wants to be heard, which leads the student to have problems at both home and school. The child realizes that he needs to learn to tame his tiger tongue and develops the mnemonic "PAWS." The story is designed to teach young children how to develop patience and self-control through the use of rhymes and mnemonics. Tiger Tongue was developed through many years of hands on experience with children who exhibit similar behaviors to those of the main character.
