description
6There are three stories in the book. In the first story, the newly arrived Mariah starts exploring her world--one made for real people to live in. In the second story, Mariah goes on to become close friends with Charlotte, even though they have different beliefs, and in the final story, she discovers a talent for writing and the associated challenges. Mariah and the other characters in the stories are dolls who live and have adventures while living in the real world. The fact that Mariah is a doll, sometimes creates obstacles for her, but they are situations that will be familiar to children and even adults. In the stories, children learn about facing difficulties and about forming relationships. Although this is primarily a picture book, the stories will appeal to children of all ages, boys as well as girls, and should also be enjoyed by adults who like dolls. The story ideas and text become gradually more complex with each story. The large type is suitable for even young readers.
