Norman Rockwell (American, 1894-1978) was a twentieth-century painter known for his illustrations of everyday life. His most famous images were created for the Saturday Evening Post magazine, including Rosie the Riveter, Saying Grace, and the Four Freedom series. His work is in the collections of many museums, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where Rockwell spent the last twenty-five years of his life.
