Those were the words Donald wanted to hear, but it seemed it might never happen. With his wife Susan, having a child would come at a high price. They had been dealing with infertility issues for many years.

Finally, after a long journey and adopting a daughter, their long-awaited son was born--only to be diagnosed with a life-threatening heart defect. Thus began a battle that would take this family far from their home to one of the most specialized pediatric cardiac facilities in Canada.
