3To which of us did Christ speak these last words? I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (Revelation 2:4). I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews [the true elect], and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 2:9). Thou hast there them that ... eat things sacrificed unto idols, and commit fornication (Revelation 2:14). I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. I have not found thy works perfect before God (Revelation 3:1). Thou sufferest ... my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. Behold, I will cast ... them that commit adultery ... into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death (Revelation 2:20,22,23). Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Thou knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. Buy of me gold tried in the fire and white raiment, that ... the shame of thy nakedness not appear; and anoint thine eyes ... that thou mayest see (Revelation 3:17-18).
