2THIS MEMOIR is an examination of the author's lifelong battle with alcoholism, how it affected his lengthy policing career, and his efforts to help others battle addiction once he was in recovery and had retired from policing. Along the way, this manuscript details many of the cases he was involved in as well as his subsequent battle with prostate cancer. Moreover, in addition to telling the author's life story, the book aims to help other members of the law enforcement community who are struggling with addiction, encouraging, them to seek help before it's too late.
