4The 15 books of the Apocrypha have always been included in the Holy Bible placed between the Old and New Testament. It was in Luther's Bible of 1534 that the Apocrypha was first published as a separate inter-testamental section. The Apocrypha was part of the original 1611 King James Bible. It was later removed in 1885 A.D. The word 'Apocrypha' literally means 'hidden'. Fragments of Dead Sea Scrolls dating back to before 70 A.D. contained parts of the apocrypha books in Hebrew, including Sirach and Tobit. Many argue the Apocrypha should never have been removed reciting Revelation 22:19 which warns "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life"
