ed by climate change becoming increasingly common and many natural resources used for energy becoming increasingly rare, scientists, politicians, and corporate leaders alike have made an effort to find renewable forms of energy that will be available indefinitely and have less of a negative environmental impact. However, not all renewable and alternative energy sources are created equal, and some argue that it will never be possible for renewable and alternative energy sources to generate enough power at an affordable price. But many acknowledge the urgency of reevaluating our energy sources and consumption practices. The viewpoints in this volume will consider the issue of renewable and alternative energy from a variety of environmental, political, and economic perspectives.
