It addresses the treatment of asthma and the appropriate use of the inhalers, spacer and peak flow meter. It explains the use of the medical device called the Spirometry. Asthma Fast Facts contains an Asthma Action Plan that can be used to improve asthma management. It addresses exercise and asthma and how to take care of your body. It also includes a Childhood Asthma Control Test for the child to complete. The test result can indicate whether or not the child's asthma is under control. The asthma plan and test result can be discussed with the child's physician to improve asthma management. The 'Know your asthma words' page defines words associated with asthma and its treatment making 'asthma talk' easy to understand. With the continual review of the book, the child would improve asthma management skills which may result in fewer attacks and fewer interruptions in daily activities.
