In 2017, two teenage football players protested during the national anthem against the wishes of their coach, Ronnie Mitchem--a former Marine and church pastor who believes in showing respect for the flag and all that it represents. When Mitchem removed the boys from his football team, the media shoved him into the public arena of national debate to defend his faith in God and his love for America.
Ronnie Mitchem is an ordained minister with more than twenty-five years of ministry experience. As a pastor, he has led five different churches in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas, including Victory & Praise Worship Center, which he founded in 2004. As an evangelist, Mitchem has preached across the continental United States and abroad. Mitchem's life experiences as a former U.S. Marine and businessman enrich his calling and preaching style, which God has anointed to reach thousands for the cause of Christ in churches, on the street, and inside prisons. Mitchem resides in Crosby, Texas, with his wife, Stacey. They have three children: Kerstin, Lynzie, and Chase. This is his first book.
