2In 1996, in the small town of Easton, Waverly Germaine is the victim of a violent attack in her home. It leaves her body bruised and broken, and her memories shattered.
During her time of healing and remembering, her comfort is an Appaloosa named Thistle and the familiar faces and places of this small town. But within the town, not all are a comfort. There are those who are manipulating and pulling strings to control how the events the night of the attack are represented.
Eventually her memories, forgotten and forced, begin to return, but, as Waverly discovers, memories don't always reflect accurate events.
