Lee Daniels' Sixteen New Stories contains, like his first two books, travel essays and character-driven creative nonfiction stories based on his travels, his early life in New England, and later life in South Florida. His experience as an exchange student in Europe, relief worker in Africa and Asia, and travels with a backpack around the globe add color to these sixteen autobiographical stories. The author received his MFA in Creative Writing, Nonfiction concentration, from the School of Letters at the University of the South at Sewanee. He divides his time between New England and Florida.
