Laura Summers is a first-time author and a housekeeper at Heritage Pointe of Warren. She attends the Huntington Church of the Brethren. After years of reading children's stories to the children at her church, she was inspired to write one of her own. Seeing flightless Petey in the aviary reminded her of the stories in the bible about facing giants and relying on God. She is a wife and mother of two daughters.
