Growing Up Westhoff Style is an introduction to small-town, Texas living by an active little girl, Rhonda, born to young parents, Otto Lee & Phyllis Koenning in late 1959. The story moves from the Koenning's marriage day, through the positives and negatives, the good and the bad, the heart-happy to heart-breaking times of the early 1960's through 1973 as seen through Rhonda's eyes. She paints the picture of family values, good and honest hard-working people, close community and valuable relationships, all the while growing up an only child with a sweet, beautiful mother who becomes very sick and dies from Cancer.
