The anchoring devotion is based on the experience of Mary as she went that early morning to the grave where Jesus had been buried. In experience Mary learned so very much about Jesus. Dr. Allen experienced the decease of his wife from cancer, his second wife deceased with Parkinson's Disease with Lewy Body, two sons deceased within eight months of each other. These experiences gave birth to a desire to share some lessons learned about how God ministers to caregivers during catastrophic illnesses. Also included are studies of specific words and topics dealing with significant Bible truths. ABOUT THE AUTHORDr. Byron Allen Jr. is retired after serving for
sixty years as pastor. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from
Howard Payne University with studies in Bible, English, History, and
Greek. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree (summa cum laude)
from Bethany Divinity College & Seminary. Dr. Allen familiar with
the biblical languages and has developed the ability to glean fresh and
meaningful messages from Bible words. Previously published books by Dr.
