9Our God is a big God, capable of being everything to each person and anywhere to reach them in their lowest of times. Author Evelyn Wynne felt this was true even at a young age, writing God letters to ask for protection and care for those of her family she lost too soon. Her new book, I Am Redeemed From Death Unto Life, explores the numerous ways that God's presence was made known to Evelyn as she grappled with many hardships and questions through her life.At the young age of seven, she endured the death of her young mother from breast cancer, leaving Evelyn, her two sisters, and brother to the care of their grandmother. However, five years later, the siblings experienced the same grief again when their grandmother passed away from a stroke.Raised by her aunt and her family, along with her siblings, Evelyn wanted to talk about the grief of losing her mother and grandmother to people but didn't feel comfortable enough to, so she turned to God. She felt His presence when periodically hearing an angelic voice call her name and witnessing visions sent from Him.She held onto God as she became a young mother, eventually becoming a single mother of three boys, and working hard to care for their needs. Evelyn discovered that the times she drifted away from God were the times she needed His guidance and love the most; when she returned back to Him, she felt His forgiveness and grace flowing into her.So, when God prompted Evelyn in the early hours of several mornings to turn her testimony into a book, she soon realized it was to help those just like her know God cares and has great plans for their paths to be used for His glory Evelyn Wynne is the single mother of three adult sons.
