9The purpose of this book is to call the people of God to a renewed devotion to the the Bible by pointing to the beauty and the bounty of the God who speaks there. In its pages, Dr. Rieben demonstrates how knowledge of the Bible, devotion to its Author, and the practice of His commands will instill within us an unshakable confidence so that we can declare with the Psalmist "though an army besiege me I will not fear, though war break out against me, I will not fear."
