ite House to the African bush in the war-torn country of Liberia to the crime-ridden streets of Chicago, Secret Service Agent Tim Viertel has seen the world from a different perspective than most. After retirement, Tim sensed God's call to ministry. He spent time in Haiti, the Somali Border, and Sudan, watching God move through Samaritan's Purse International Relief and witnessing the Gospel taken to the nations through Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. The vast experiences he gleaned from diverse cultures and sects of society are a significant part of how Tim's view of God has been shaped.
His book PROTECTED: Reflections of a Secret Service Agent chronicles many of his real-life experiences with spiritual teaching moments gleaned from each story. His stories of running every morning with the president, traveling in hostile environments, investigating threats against our nation's leaders, chasing counterfeiters, and ministering to the marginalized each end with a message of God's sovereignty, His love for us, and our love and responsibility for our fellow man.
