SPIFFY, A CAT THAT DRINKS COFFEE

Nick lives on a small farm somewhere in rural America. A hungry stray cat shows up on Nicks's birthday. Because the cat has fur of many colors, Nick takes one look at him and names him Spiffy. Spiffy is hungry. Nick is happy to share his food with him. A fast friendship is formed.

Nick, who lives alone, invites Spiffy to live with him and keep his house free of mice. The bond of friendship is tested when Spiffy drinks the last cup of coffee which Nick has saved for himself.

Since Nick is addicted to coffee, Spiffy has committed a horrible crime. What is the punishment? Now, what will happen to Spiffy?

Every child is invited to share vicariously the experiences of life on the farm somewhere in rural America.
