The Bishop: A Novel is the inspirational story of a young man named Fernando Carvalho.

Fernando was born into extreme poverty in one of Brazil's largest slums in the city of Sao Paulo. Fernando experiences a series of very bad breaks that create severe challenges. He overcomes his difficulties and becomes a covert agent for the Brazilian National Intelligence Association ABIN. In that role he fights crime and evil in Brazil and throughout the world.
