Evan's Shoes is a story about a young boy who discovers that when he looks at the world through the perspective of someone very different from himself, he begins to see things in a new light. Through a series of unusual circumstances, Evan finds himself struggling with an unexpected disability. Evan is forced to see things from a different point of view. Though this story is about Evan and how he begins to learn about empathy, compassion, and understanding, the story is really about all of us. If we all would be willing to look at things from a perspective other than our own, we might be more understanding of the struggles of others.
