? When is forgiveness an act that becomes a gift of grace?

Cherie Hollister is a widowed mother of three young daughters after the tragic death of her husband in a military training exercise. She is confronted in her tiny apartment by her mother who asks her to be tested as a potential donor for her brother, Jake, a recovering drug addict who needs a kidney transplant. Glancing at eight-year-old Molly, whose scars and hearing loss were brought about by Jake's negligence, Cherie fumes at the request. Her faith tells her to forgive her brother, but can she choose to save the man she has hated since the night of the fire.

Endorsement:

Magnificent! A novel that puts the human condition on full display. Christine Anderson gets it. Her brilliant character development masterfully reflects the whole spectrum of the highs and lows of ever human life.

-Fr. Brain Sullivan, Pastor, Church of Christ the King

For a person of faith, there is an ever-present challenge to connect to an unseen God. In This Lifetime gives us a realistic and imaginative opportunity to do just that. Christine Anderson invites the reader on a family journey with all the twists and turns of life, tragedy, forgiveness, and love. In the end, you realize that she is telling a deeper, faith-filled, universal story.

-Dennis Corcoran, Corcoran Consulting. LLC

As a medical professional, In This Lifetime, resonates with me as it portrays an accurate account of the real-life struggles medical providers grapple with when caring for critical patients and their families and the role of faith in the healing process.

-Melissa Gato, MSN, RN, CEN Emergency Nurse
