Receiving a grim diagnosis can be a defining moment in a child's life. With a few intimidating words, carefree play is replaced by endless doctor visits and a search for cures that can last a lifetime. For me, the diagnosis was childhood leukemia, then pre-diabetes, and later, fibromyalgia, auto-immune disease, and severe migraines. My quest for healing lasted over thirty years. I pursued every treatment and dietary fix that I could find, but intense pain continued to haunt me until I finally found relief in the most unexpected place--unrefined, mineral-rich whole salt. If you're like me and you've paid attention to health recommendations from "experts," the mere mention of salt likely sends a chill down your spine. Few ingredients have been vilified and blamed for disease as often as salt, but the data actually shows the case against salt to be weak at best. Look past the fearmongering, and a simple fact remains: Whole salt is an essential nutrient that our bodies need for countless functions.
Instead of avoiding salt as we've been told, I began to use it as the beneficial supplement that God intended. For the first time in decades, I woke up without pain. After learning so much about healthy living, whole salt was the final piece of my health puzzle. Whole salt is a gift from God for us to use in a multitude of ways, including for our health and strength in a fallen world. Along the way, I met many other Christians who were also struggling with chronic disease and praying for relief. In this book, I share everything I've learned about whole salt, food, and healthy living, and how to apply this knowledge through my Jesus Harvest Life (JHL) Diet. I share the health wisdom I found in God's Word, reminding us that our Creator is wise beyond our understanding. My prayer is that God uses this book to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and to help hurting believers to overcome their chronic conditions and become healthy and strong, ready to fulfill the purposes of God.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
