It is December 23, 1999. The dawning of the Millennium approaches with fears of worldwide computer shutdowns, and possible terrorist strikes on popular New Year's Eve locations.

In the quiet river town of New Hope, Pennsylvania, Police Chief Tom Miller has big enough problems of his own. The mutilated body of a prominent gay nightclub owner has been dumped at Ferry Landing. Making matters worse, the ritual markings discovered on the body are frighteningly similar to those of eight gay and lesbian victims from a case Tom cracked fifteen years earlier, while he was a New York City Police Detective.

The murderer of seven of the victims awaits his execution on New Year's Eve, but not before vowing that the murders of gays and lesbians will begin again, thus ushering in an even more chaotic start of the new century.

Will Tom Miller be able to catch this new killer and dodge all the roadblocks thrown his way by a possible copycat killer, a self-centered Mayor, and other individuals? Will he discover there's more to the new murders than the fulfillment of a madman's prophecy?

More importantly, after fifteen years, could the new killer be the one who murdered the eighth gay victim? Can Tom Miller finally be on the trail of apprehending the individual responsible for the murder of his father?
