In 1925 a diphtheria epidemic breaks out in the isolated Nome, Alaska. The community's children were at risk unless a life-saving serum could be delivered in time. Many dog sled teams took part in the run to deliver the needed medication. One dog named TOGO stood out from the others largely because he was the leader of the team that ran the farthest and most difficult section. This is a fun rhyming children's picture book that reminds children of all ages that they should never give up.
