the Master Potter's workshop, certain he'll be molded into something magnificent-a fancy urn, an elegant vase, or a stylish serving tray for the most important occasions. After all, everything the Master Potter shapes is special! But he can't understand it when he becomes just a plain, ordinary piece of pottery. How can he serve a special purpose like this? It takes an encounter with Jesus himself for the little lump to realize that being "ordinary" doesn't mean he can't serve the Lord in a way beyond anything he ever imagined.
