A small-town Christian romance story of strength, tenacity, and learning to trust.
Annie Dolce can't wait to return to her faculty position in the Gordon Community College School of Nursing. She's been filling in as campus nurse practitioner for several months since the position has been difficult to fill due to its measly salary. While her clinical skills are being honed, her tell-it-like-it-is manner often lands her in trouble. Her new boss, who seems to be ambitious to the point of denying students the services they need to be successful, is her latest challenge.
Ben Upton is the new Dean of Students, charged with tightening the budget. Specifically, Campus Health and Counseling Services may be the departments that need to go. Labeling Annie as a small-town hothead, Ben soon learns to respect her knowledge of campus politics and her devotion to her patients.
As Annie and Ben get to know each other, each realizes they were guilty of making premature judgements. Learning to trust is difficult, but who said distance relationships are doomed to fail?
