Mistakes + guilt + shame = loneliness
Is this the equation you apply to your life?
Are you constantly plagued by loneliness? You see everyone else loving life and having a great time with the person whom they love. You begin to crave the same type of relationship so perhaps you join an online dating website in hopes of finding the perfect soulmate. Slowly, you begin to give more of you to have more of them. You make decisions that you know defy the God in you, but you do it anyway. Over time, guilt and shame overpower your every thought, so you begin to feel hopeless. Days, months, or years later, you sense that you are barely holding on by a single thread.
This thread is all you need. It is a thread of hope that will lead you to life full of more than a soulmate. It leads you to know who God really is and how much He really cares for you.
It was this thread that lead Carla to learn about the love God has for her. Even though she had spent countless years searching for love in all the wrong places only to end up mentally and physically broken, God used this thread to heal her. Carla held on to the thread because of her introduction to God by her father, Rev. Walter L. DeBro. Although she had been filled with the Holy Spirit at a young age, life choices made her feel totally disconnected from the one Love that had never betrayed her.
God showed Carla how much He really loved her as He expressed His compassion for her life. Her story of God's love exemplifies the power of forgiveness. Sure, God forgives, but that is not what she struggled with. Like many of us, Carla struggled with receiving God's forgiveness. She spent years blaming herself for the many bad decisions she had made, but later realized that God could use these infirmities to heal others.
Through God's love and patience, Carla shares some very personal moments that once plagued her in the past, but now she uses her past to help others who have made similar choices.
It's up to you to accept that God loves you, and if you struggle with this truth, then this book will testify to how your past is an opportunity to have the presence of God intervene. God wants to save you and protect you. Trust Him, not that bully that tells you that you will never be forgiven. Those words are a lie told by the biggest hypocrite on earth. Replace those lies with God's truth as you read Carla's story and live a life filled with God's purpose. He loves you. He really does.
