If God answered my dire prayer to be used mightily, would I be willing to step up to the plate by listening, obeying, and trusting in Him? Or would I tell Him what He was asking for is too much?
The story is about answered prayers, listening to the Lord, obeying His Words, and trusting in Him for protection. The remnant group of believers lived in an exceedingly small northern village named Bethel, nestled between several mountain ranges in the year 2027.
The Christian community always prayed at their gatherings and services that God would use them mightily. One day, the Lord spoke to the group as an answer to their prayer. The Lord asked them to "stand their ground" for the Lord and to defend the village. As it became apparent that the Lord was truly talking about physically defending the village, the membership dwindled down to seventy mostly aged members. The various believers in the groups utilized their earthly talents based upon God's divine plan. The six days of battles were brutal, but the Lord instructed them to keep their focus upon Him and not their victories. "In all things, give praise and glory to the Lord for the victory belongs to the Lord."
When one wants to be used mightily by the Lord, one needs to be ready to be a sacrificial lamb and respond with trust, and through faith, courage and protection will be granted for those who obey.
