9"THE LITTLE CALICO, The Cat Without A Name", is a children's book thoughtfully written to entertain and minister to adults and children of all ages. Farm cat Queenie and her five kittens are adorable. The story, complimented by the beautiful illustrations of Victor T. Bugarin, captures the personalities and antics of this furry, adventurous family. Best of all, we are invited to reflect on the power of words in our own lives. Woven throughout the storyline are spoken words that can either encourage or discourage others. Take time to PAWS! I didn't want to put this book down! - Dwayna Pingel, Retired RN The story of "THE LITTLE CALICO, The Cat Without A Name" mirrors the struggle of so many children in seeing their worth. The Author has done a beautiful job in drawing us into the disparaging plight of the little kitten, only to bring a heart-warming ending. My grandchildren were captivated with the story and related to the effects of hurtful words that bring discouragement and self-criticism. This short story offers powerful lessons for children to learn about living life above the negative and discovering their own special qualities. The Illustrator also did a wonderful job in relaying the story in pictorial form. I looked forward to seeing what the next picture would be. The kittens are charming and the items in the home bring life and interest for the reader. Children and adults alike will close the pages to this book knowing that we are all made different from others, unique and valuable. "THE LITTLE CALICO, The Cat Without A Name" should be a part of every child's life! - Pastor Janice Stemen, Youth/Children's Minister & Director of Children's Ministry IPHC
