7Pancake Piggy is a story that emphasizes the need for children to learn early to be kind and giving; a lifestyle often missing in today's society. Priscilla is an example of a little girl who has everything she could desire. As a Princess, she thinks she can treat other children anyway she wants to and still expect them to be her friends. After all, she is the Princess! She is willing to share her huge collection of toys but not her favorite food. Her attitude toward friends begins to become a problem and she doesn't have any idea how to solve it. Her aunt, much like a concerned and wise fairy godmother, helps Priscilla solve her predicament. She helps a self-centered little girl who learns the hard way, to share with her friends, treating them kindly and caring about their feelings. Papa Will, is a former corporate executive and retired pastor. He and his wife, have been married for over 60 years and live in Tennessee. They enjoy sharing their lives with their four children and spouses, and eleven grandchildren - preteen to adult, three of whom are married. So, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Papa Will has enjoyed the many opportunities to read a variety of books to little ones over the years. He was always delighted when the children wanted to talk about the characters in the stories he had chosen that emphasized the values of caring, kindness and positive relationships.
