5The idea of this book came about from real health experiences in our lives. We wanted to share those experiences from the viewpoint of the patient, Roger, and the caregiver, Louise, from the first diagnosis of "Cancer," to the final proclamation of "Cancer free." Louise and I both kept journals. Most of what is written came from those journals. Later chapters have to do with lessons we have learned about health, wholeness, and healing. Louise shares her thoughts on faith, forgiveness, healing, anger, and death. Our joint prayer is that those who may read this book will find hope for their wellness in these pages. God brings healing to our bodies and our lives in order that we may bring hope to others. We would not be able to share these experiences without wonderful Christian and skilled doctors, prayer partners, friends, and family, who have loved us though it all. The outward gestures of love, prayers, and God's Word brought us through this trial. Psalm 41:1-3 "Happy are those who are concerned for the poor; the LORD will help them when they are in trouble. The LORD will protect them and preserve their lives; he will make them happy in the land; he will not abandon them to the power of their enemies. The LORD will help them when they are sick and will restore them to health." Rev.
