What inspired me to author this book is that I have been through a rough childhood, a failed marriage, and experienced verbal and physical abuse and this book is to motivate others who have been through what I went through or who is going through what I went through. There is a God who is always there beside you despite what you are going through; that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He cries with you, He feels your pain, and He is there to dry your tears. There are circumstances in our life that we would love to change if we could. We all go through hardships or unfulfilled desires, but do not look at your circumstances but look to the Lord for strength, only God can strengthen us when we fully submit ourselves to Him. BE STILL!!! All our storms are the beginning of what God has in store for us. I have been through a rough childhood, a failed marriage, and experienced verbal and physical abuse. Sometimes storms can cause much damage and wreak havoc in the lives of many. While the news media focus on environmental storms, there are other storms just as devastating, that people experience every day, such as sickness, financial hardship, abuse, and broken relationships. These storms of life threaten our peace, comfort, and joy, and often bring about fear, doubt, and hopelessness. As Christians, we are to be a lighthouse in the storms of others. If we keep our eyes on the storms, they will always overtake us. But if we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can make it through our own storms and even help others through their storms in life. BE STILL-know He is God and can work in and through us.
