ly weeks of the 2020-2021 covid pandemic, the writing of a series of encouraging daily devotionals was requested by the leadership of Stonerise Healthcare, a faith-based administrative services company in West Virginia. The author, serving as Manager of Chaplaincy Services with them, eagerly complied. However, as a pastor, he desired to take the readers a bit deeper into the Scriptures, leading them to develop a personal relationship with God. He wanted to help them to understand God's Word and to encourage them to walk by faith in every area of their lives. He believes that is the way to survive and even thrive during the deep and dark valleys of life, such as our worldwide pandemic. By doing so, we can then know the special wisdom, comfort and encouragement that comes directly from our loving, eternal God. David Jones is an ordained pastor who has served in four independent Bible and Baptist churches in New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia for about 39 years. He is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College and Baptist Bible Seminary and currently serves part-time as Manager of Chaplaincy Services for Stonerise Healthcare, headquartered in Charleston, West Virginia. David and his wife, Debra, have one son, who with his wife, have blessed them with three young grandchildren. They happily reside near each other in Ohio. David has also written "Dollars and Biblical Sense", "A Biblical Guide to Caregiving" and five other mini-books, training manuals on caregiving subjects, for individual or small group use.
