9The author begins his book talking about his humble beginnings in Crystal City, Texas. Born in 1954, his life in this town was short lived. Around 1958, Frank's mother met a man who was a migrant farm worker. This man became the step-father to Frank and his two older brothers. Frank's mother decided to leave Crystal City with this man and told her sons to choose to go with her or stay with their father. All three boys chose to go with their mother and new step-father. As fate would have it Frank did not see Crystal City again until the early 1990's when he and his mother returned for a visit. From this marriage two additional brothers were added to the family. From 1958 to 1964 the family traveled to the northern states of Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Minnesota to work in the fields. They would work up north and travel back to Texas in the winter. In 1965, the family was traveling through Oklahoma on the way back to Texas. They stopped in Clinton, OK and found work in the cotton fields picking cotton during the month of October. They stayed for the winter in Clinton, OK and the family continued to return every fall. They would leave in May and return in October so the boys got most of their education in Clinton, OK. By 1976 Frank's parents became born again Christians. Frank had a personal encounter with God in 1978 and from that time forward three of his brothers have also been saved. You are encouraged to read this book to find out how God intervened in this family and remind you; Jesus Christ is still the Miracle Worker.
