Later, on the main island, Tradail, she heals the son of one of Drocha's captains, Comyn, who pledges allegiance to the King and fights to protect her from those in the island nation who would take her life. Anya has a premonition of a calamity that threatens to destroy the nation. She risks her life to save a group of children from a giant wave but must watch as her horse, Niveus, is swept out to sea. Finally, the island adventure provides healing for Eamon's troubled past. Dr. James H. Crane has a B.A. in Physics and Math from William Jewell College, a Ph.D. in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Masters in Geology from the University of Houston. James spent the bulk of his career exploring for oil and gas for small independents as a geophysical consultant with his company, Gulf Coast 3-D. James has been married to his wife, Barb, for 43 years, has four children, and eleven grandchildren. The Pearl is the third book in a four-part series intended to provide adventure fiction with Christian symbolism.
