Ms. Parker Johnson was born in a small town near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has always been an avid reader and writer of comedic scripts. As a child, she taught her little sister, who had a hearing problem, how to read. She also "taught school" to the neighborhood children at a picnic table in her backyard. As she got older, Ms. Parker Johnson became more involved in church, acting as the President of the Youth Fellowship and teaching Sunday School.
