Based on a true-life adventure! Sonny is a young, smart little parakeet with a gift for gab. While enjoying a ride on his mom's shoulder, he suddenly finds himself in new surroundings with a desire to spread his wings and find out what freedom is all about. He quickly discovers that he is in for a bigger adventure than he thought, after realizing that he is lost and his family is nowhere to be seen. On his journey he discovers that freedom may come with a cost and it could be more than he bargained for.
