Xhosa's first photo book, Beauty Behind The Blackness, is a deep dive into the Black experience and creating new meaning behind it.

Over the course of this book, you will see images all taken by Xhosa Fray-Chinn between summer 2020 and summer 2021. Every photo was taken in either LA or NYC and shot on 120mm and 35mm film.
